Celebration Finds started with a simple, frustrating search. When Khatira was planning our wedding, she went looking for something that should have been easy to find — a beautiful custom chocolate favor with our names on it. She visited shops across Toronto, searched online, reached out to vendors. What she found was disheartening: anything beautiful was coming from the UK or Turkey, and the one Toronto-area studio she found in Montreal was fully booked and couldn't ship in time. The Canadian market, it turned out, had a real gap. You could have cheap and generic, or expensive and still mediocre. There was nothing in between.

So Khatira made them herself. She sat down, channeled everything she had always known about design and beauty, and handcrafted our wedding favors from scratch. When our guests saw them at the reception — and when our family held them and examined every detail — the response was unanimous. These were extraordinary. Not just for handmade gifts. Extraordinary, full stop. That moment changed everything. Khatira realized something important: this was not just a talent. It was a calling. And because no one in Toronto was doing this at the level it deserved, she decided she would.

When we found out Khatira was pregnant, we made a decision together. Instead of returning to a traditional job after the baby arrived, she would build something of her own — something she could do from home, on her own terms, with her hands and her heart. Celebration Finds was born from that decision. It gave Khatira a way to create beautiful things every day, and it gave our family something we could build together. What makes it work is that Khatira genuinely loves what she does. When she is making a favor, it does not feel like work.
